@ghosts_random_posts /  @thealphabetsoupllc

@ghosts_random_posts (they/it/e) is an advanced crocheter and personal coach at @thealphabetsoupllc. They say they are “an intentionally queer and trans affirming sex educator looking to expand on what [e] can provide to the community.” It used Lion Brand Ice Cream yarn in the color Cake Batter and rated this pattern as a difficulty of 2 out of 5.

@ghosts_random_posts reminded me that “the testicles are held and protected within the scrotum” so it is not anatomically correct to label part of the pattern as “testicles.” Thus the footnote. I am open to other naming suggestions if there is a better way to separate the sections of the pattern!

@j_the_seawitch (Instagram) / @jtheseawitch (TikTok)

@j_the_seawitch (they/them/mer/mers) has been crocheting for 1 year. They identify as an early intermediate crocheter. Mer rate this a difficulty of 3 out of 5, saying “Overall I really enjoyed this and how quickly it worked up. I’m considering making some to give away!” Mer made 2 packers, one in Lion Brand Coboo yarn in magenta and the other in Lion Brand Mandala Ombre in Zen.

They do recommend “not to use smaller than 4 weight yarn, additionally I’d recommend making stitches tight to ensure poly beads don’t fall out.” I have used a weight 3 yarn for this pattern and didn’t personally have issues, but I also have pretty tight tension because I learned to crochet during grad school. Anyway, go forth with informed consent if you choose a weight 3 yarn.

@poorqualitycontent (TikTok)

@poorqualitycontent has been crocheting for 10 years and is an advanced crocheter who rated this pattern a difficulty of 3 out of 5. This packer is made out of Caron Simply Soft yarn in the color bone held double stranded.

@poorqualitycontent says “It’s a really great pattern! Well laid out, clear instructions, great result. I had my doubts when crocheting the scrotum how it was going to lay properly, but it turned out great! Mine is stuffed with large magnets for the tip and testes, and tiny metal balls for the rest. It’s a great fidget toy, haha”

@issaalvarod (Instagram & TikTok)

@issaalvarod (she/they/them/he) has been crocheting for 12 years. She is an advanced crocheter. They rated this pattern a difficulty of 2 out of 5. He used Big Twist Acrylic yarn in the color Mint.

@Issaalvarod is one of my drag mutuals on Tik Tok – go check out not only his crochet, but drag as well!

@Mossycryptid

@mossycryptid (they/them) is an expert crocheter and rates the difficulty as 3 out of 5. They used Caron Simply Soft yarn in the color Pumpkin. They says this pattern seems like an approachable way to test packing for those who are unsure if it’s for them.
